If you're in a stitching rut, you're not alone! Lately I've been in a stitching funk, and it's been really difficult to move myself out of it. I have projects waiting in the wings for their time to shine, but I'm finding it so hard to find the motivation to tackle them. And because stitching is my business, this is a big challenge I have to work through.
Here are five things you can try your stitching mojo back:

1. Start small
Find a small project that lights you up. I'm a big believer in that if we see quick progress, we're more likely to tap back into the joy that cross stitch and embroidery bring.
2. Choose a project with a purpose
Got a friend's birthday soon? Is a family member welcoming a baby? Choose a project you can gift to give you a deadline and motivation to finish it.
3. Track your progress
If you're a visual person, use a project tracker to chart your progress. You could use a simple checklist, a journal or find a fun crafty project tracker online.

4. Create a stitching routine
Find 10-15 minutes at the same time every day to sit and stitch. I like to stitch just before I go to bed because it helps me unwind.
5. Try a new technique
Challenge yourself by learning a new technique. Experiment with a new style. This could be trying a new embroidery stitch or experimenting with embellishments like beads.
Which one will you try?
